One of the country’s leading used car partnerships has re-launched its website to appeal to a new generation of car buyers, reflecting the changing trends in how people are searching for their next car.
Leading used car website Trusted Dealers has refreshed its site as part of its partnership with the UK’s largest online digital marketplace Auto Trader, offering additional search functionality and responsive design to capitalise on changing car-buying trends, whilst still offering consumers one of the safest place to buy a used car online.
Figures from Google show some 77 per cent of people in the UK now shop online once a month, with an estimated 3.1 connected devices per person**, underlining the importance of having a responsive website to tap into the growing ‘on the move’ market.
Neil Addley, Managing Director of Trusted Dealers, said: “We have carried out market research amongst car buyers to find out exactly what they are looking for when in the market for a used car, which has helped shape our new website to make it easier for both dealers and customers to navigate.
“We know the way in which people search for their next car is changing and the new site will retain our existing customer base but also attract those customers looking for particular vehicles. It is interesting to see the growing trend in people looking for hybrid and electric vehicles in particular and we predict this will continue to grow.”
Jason Biffin, Retailer and Consumer Product Director at Auto Trader, said: “Trust and transparency are key for consumers looking to buy their next vehicle, so it’s important they can shop somewhere they can trust. Auto Trader chose to partner with Trusted Dealers as the site prides itself on being the safest place to buy a used car online and underpins all its sales with its Ten Points of Difference.
“The new website is the first step in establishing our partnership, which will allow Trusted Dealers to be promoted on the Auto Trader marketplace bringing a wider consumer audience to the brand, as well as helping those with less confidence choose a dealer in which they know they can trust.”Trusted Dealers is part of the National Franchised Dealer Association (NFDA), one of the UK’s leading motor industry bodies, meaning consumers can be safe in the knowledge that they are purchasing from a reputable source.
In June, Trusted Dealers announced a partnership with Auto Trader, allowing Trusted Dealers to be promoted on the Auto Trader marketplace, bringing a wider consumer audience to the brand, as well as helping those with less confidence choose a dealer in which they know they can trust.
